Selective Professional Hungary is an established wholesaler and distributor for a wide range of professional hair care products selling to hairdressers and salons via sales representatives.

Challenge

The 3rd generation company website was "designed" by a graphic designer with little knowledge in web programming languages and virtually no SEO knowledge or experience. All of the pages of the site had the same Title of "Selective Professional" and the pages were not optimzed at all. On top of that they used many Flash elements. The Google index cached only the pages of the previous site, not this one. And if this was not enough: no one had been aware of this situation for more than two years since they did not used any of the Google tools, such as Analytics or Webmasters Tools.

 


Goal

To create a completely new responsive (ie. mobile ready) website that meets Google Webmasters guidelines using the existing textual and visual content, product images. Have it indexed by Google fast and rank it high for most of the long product names and product categories.


Strategy

Used our standard process for site redesing and target keyword selection in order to make launch of the new site smooth and indexation as fast as possible.

We fixed all on-page SEO issues such as Title, Description, image Alt text. Installed standard XML sitemap and updated it whenever a new page and post was published. Installed Google Analytics tracking code with the Google account that was already used in the 2nd generation website. Optimized all of the pages. We run Advanced Web Ranking reports on a weekly basis to demonstrate progress.


SEO Results

  1. After two years of "non-existence" the site was finally indexed by Google
  2. Penguin and Panda algorithm changes had vistually no effect on the organic search traffic of the new site
  3. High search traffic (76%), high registration rate and 25% of the traffic are from returning visitors
  4. Continuously inceased visibility that is the highest among competitors just after four months of relaunch
  5. Top rankings for the majority of target keywords. Unchanged over the past couple of months
  6. Top rankings compared to major competitors
